About Fork Spoon & Straw

I was bitten by the travel bug the second I stepped foot in Paris to study abroad in January of 2017. Flash forward 2 years later and I lived out my dream of living in the South of France. When I wasn't teaching English to high-schoolers in the Alps, I could be found at a local café, restaurant, or brasserie. Now, I am happy to say the dream continues as I am back in the land of croissants, cheese, and wine!

Originally from Los Angeles, I graduated from Skidmore College in 2018 with a double major in Health & Exercise Science and French, as well as a minor in Education Studies. Throughout college, I split my time among my studies, various campus jobs, mentoring through the Big Brother Big Sister program, and as a certified personal trainer. For a while I was an independent travel agent and helped people discover the world just like I have.

In September of 2019, I took a plane and a leap of faith across the Atlantic to the the sunny south of France to live la vie en rose in the pink city of Toulouse! I spend my days as a Content Marketing Manager for Pictarine and I can be found after work or on weekends exploring the city, finding new spots to eat, or out and about on my bike or hiking in the nearby Pyrenees mountains.

 

I truly believe food is the front door to any culture and I love to travel to places old and new and taste the local cuisine. And of course, take lots and lots of pictures. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or recommendations!
